Pets over 50kg: a 20% surcharge on the package price

What should I do if my pet dies at home?

Take a moment before doing anything, as there is no need to hurry. When you are ready, place your dog or cat on their side on a towel or blanket, gently close their eyes and position their legs naturally in a curled posture. Complete this within the first couple of hours, before stiffness develops. Put an old towel underneath because some fluid release is normal, and keep them cool and away from direct sunlight.

Can I scatter my pet’s ashes?

By default, your pet’s urn is sealed, but tell us if you would like to scatter the ashes and we can provide an unsealed urn or return them in a scatter tube. The Private Farewell package includes a scatter tube rather than an urn.

Some families remember their pet with a walk at Anderson Park before choosing a garden or another favourite place for the ashes. Scattering on your own property is generally fine. Before using a park, beach or other public land, check with the local council or landholder.

Are your cremation services private?

Always. Every pet collected in Ryde receives an individual private cremation. Your pet is cremated alone in a single chamber, and you receive only their ashes, never ashes mixed or shared with other animals.

We do not provide communal or group cremation. Every package, starting with the $540 Private Farewell, is fully private and includes a Certificate of Cremation confirming this.

How do I know it’s my pet’s ashes?

Your pet is tracked from the moment they enter our care. They receive a unique tracking tag at collection, and our staff check it at every stage, from the vehicle to the crematorium and back to your door.

The ashes are returned with your pet’s tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation. As every cremation is individual, the ashes belong only to your pet.

Who is Buddy?

Buddy carries out your pet’s cremation. After booking, you receive notifications from Buddy with updates as your pet moves through each stage.
