How much does it cost to cremate a dog in Baulkham Hills?

Dog cremation in Baulkham Hills costs the same as cremation for any other pet, beginning at $540 for a private cremation with ashes returned in a scatter tube, or $790 to $1,190 with an urn and keepsakes. Small, medium and large dogs cost the same up to 50kg.

For dogs over 50kg, including Great Danes, Mastiffs and some Rottweilers, a 20% surcharge applies to the package price. We accept dogs up to 100kg. Collection from your home or vet in Baulkham Hills is included, and your dog is cremated alone, never with other animals.

How much is cat cremation in Baulkham Hills?

Cat cremation in Baulkham Hills starts at $540. This covers collection from home or a vet, a private individual cremation, a Certificate of Cremation and your cat’s ashes returned within 10 business days. Families choosing an urn for a cat often select The Gesture ($790) or The Memory ($890), which include a fur keepsake or framed paw print.

Cats almost always suit our smallest urn size, up to 5kg, so no size surcharge applies. We collect cats from homes and veterinary clinics across Baulkham Hills and nearby suburbs, using the same process as for dogs.

Are there any additional fees?

Your selected package includes everything, including collection and return of the ashes. There are only 3 extra charges, and we will explain them before you confirm your booking:

After-hours fee (Monday to Friday, before 9am or after 5pm): +$165
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays: +$250
Pets over 50kg: a 20% surcharge on the package price

If you book an after-hours collection, we may not be able to come until the next day, depending on which drivers are available in the Baulkham Hills area. Either way, our team will contact you to confirm a pickup time, so you won’t be left waiting without knowing when we’ll arrive.

What should I do if my pet dies at home?

Take a moment before doing anything. There is no need to hurry. When you are ready, place your dog or cat on their side on a towel or blanket, gently close their eyes and position their legs naturally in a curled pose. Do this within the first couple of hours, before stiffness begins. Put an old towel underneath because some fluid release is normal, and keep them cool and out of direct sunlight.

Then book online or call us on 0489 271 267. In Baulkham Hills we collect from your home within 24 hours, and same day if you book before 2pm on a business day. If other pets in the house want to sniff or sit with them before pickup, that’s fine and can help them understand.

How quickly can you collect my pet in Baulkham Hills?

We guarantee collection anywhere in Baulkham Hills and the surrounding suburbs within 24 hours of confirming your booking. Book before 2pm on a business day and we can usually collect that day during business hours at no extra cost. Bookings after 2pm are arranged for the next available collection.

A 30-minute notification is sent before our driver arrives. Your pet travels in a van prepared with flowers, greenery and a soft bed. For an after-hours or weekend collection, the applicable fees apply and we will call to confirm the time.

Can you pick up my dog or cat from a vet in Baulkham Hills?

Yes. Many Baulkham Hills families say goodbye at the vet, and we collect from any veterinary clinic in Baulkham Hills and surrounding suburbs, including Castle Hill, Northmead, Bella Vista, Seven Hills, Toongabbie, Glenwood, and Westmead.

Provide the clinic name when booking and we will organise collection directly with the vet, so you do not have to transport your pet. Vet collection is included in every package at no extra cost, and your pet receives a tracking tag as soon as they come into our care.

Do you offer cremation for all pets in Baulkham Hills?

We cremate domestic pets from Baulkham Hills homes and vets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, ferrets, reptiles and other small animals. Pets up to 100kg are accepted. We cannot cremate horses or other livestock.

Every pet gets the same private cremation, the same tracking and the same Certificate of Cremation, whatever their size. The price is the same for a dog, cat, rabbit or bird, with a 20% surcharge only for pets over 50kg. If you’re unsure whether we can help with your pet, call us on 0489 271 267 and we’ll talk it through.

Can you cremate a rabbit, guinea pig or bird from Baulkham Hills?

Yes. We provide small animal cremation throughout Baulkham Hills. Rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, rats, mice and lizards are cremated individually in a single chamber, so only your pet’s ashes are returned.

Small pets produce less ash, so many families select a small urn from The Gesture or The Memory collection, or a keepsake for the home. We collect from home or a vet just as we do for dogs and cats, with prices starting from the same $540.

Is there a size limit for large dog cremation in Baulkham Hills?

We accept pets up to 100kg, covering almost every dog breed. Large breeds up to 50kg are charged the standard package price. Between 50kg and 100kg, the package price has a 20% surcharge for the additional handling and cremation time.

Our drivers move large dogs gently, whether collecting from a home or clinic in Baulkham Hills. Tell us your dog’s approximate weight when booking so we can prepare for collection and advise the surcharge upfront.

How soon will I get my pet’s ashes back?

Your pet’s ashes are returned within 10 business days, well ahead of the 3-week industry average. We hand-deliver them to your Baulkham Hills home in your chosen urn or scatter tube, with any keepsakes, the tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation.

We’ll contact you beforehand with the delivery date, so you know when to expect them. If that day doesn’t suit, call us on 0489 271 267 and we’ll work something out.

Which urn size do I need for my dog or cat?

The right urn depends on your pet’s weight. Our sizes are for pets up to 5kg, 5 to 20kg, 20 to 35kg, 35 to 50kg and over 50kg. Most cats, rabbits and small dogs fit the smallest size, a Labrador generally fits the 20 to 35kg range, and larger breeds use the sizes above it.

You do not need to decide alone. Give us your pet’s approximate weight when booking and we will match an urn from your chosen collection.

Can I scatter my pet’s ashes?

Yes. We seal your pet’s urn as standard, but you can request an unsealed urn or ashes in a scatter tube if you plan to scatter them. The Private Farewell package provides a scatter tube instead of an urn.

Some Baulkham Hills families remember their pet during a walk at Excelsior Reserve before choosing a garden or another favourite place for scattering. Scattering on your own property is generally fine, but check with the local council or landholder before using parks, beaches or other public land.

Are your cremation services private?

Always. We guarantee individual private cremation for every pet collected in Baulkham Hills. Your pet is cremated alone in a single chamber, and you receive only their ashes, never ashes mixed or shared with other animals.

We do not provide communal or group cremation. Every package, from the $540 Private Farewell upwards, is a fully private cremation confirmed by a Certificate of Cremation.

How do I know it’s my pet’s ashes?

Your pet is tracked from the moment they enter our care. They receive a unique tracking tag at collection, and our team checks that tag at every stage, from the van to the crematorium and back to your door.

The ashes are returned with your pet’s tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation. As every cremation is individual, the ashes belong only to your pet.

Who is Buddy?

Buddy are the service providers who carry out your pet’s cremation. After booking, they send you notifications and updates as your pet moves through each stage.

You can still contact our team at any time throughout the process, before or after pickup, on 0489 271 267. We stay your point of contact from booking right through to the return of your pet’s ashes.

Does pet insurance cover cremation?

Some pet insurance policies include a cremation or end-of-life benefit, while others do not. Coverage depends on your insurer and level of cover, so check your product disclosure statement or speak with your insurer before booking if you intend to claim.

When your policy covers cremation, we can provide a payment receipt and Certificate of Cremation to support your claim.
