Pet Cremation Panania | Private Dog & Cat Cremation

How much does pet cremation cost in Panania?

Private pet cremation in Panania starts from $540 with our Private Farewell package, which returns your pet’s ashes in a scatter tube. The Gesture costs $790 and includes an urn plus a fur keepsake, The Memory is $890 with an urn, framed paw print and daily keepsake, and The Legacy is $1,190 with an urn, 2 keepsakes and a premium keepsake.

Every package includes collection from your Panania home or vet, a private individual cremation, a Certificate of Cremation and hand delivery of the ashes within 10 business days. The only additional costs are the after-hours, weekend and over-50kg fees shown later on this page, so the booking price is the amount you pay.

How much does it cost to cremate a dog in Panania?

Dog cremation in Panania costs the same as cremation for any other pet, beginning at $540 for a private cremation with ashes returned in a scatter tube, or $790 to $1,190 with an urn and keepsakes. Dogs of small, medium or large size cost the same up to 50kg.

A 20% surcharge on the package price applies to dogs over 50kg, including some Great Danes, Mastiffs and Rottweilers. Dogs are accepted up to 100kg. Collection from your Panania home or vet is included, and your dog is cremated alone, never with other animals.

How much is cat cremation in Panania?

Cat cremation in Panania starts at $540. This includes collection from home or vet, a private individual cremation, a Certificate of Cremation and your cat’s ashes returned within 10 business days. Families choosing an urn for a cat often select The Gesture for $790 or The Memory for $890, including a fur keepsake or framed paw print.

Cats almost always fit the smallest urn size, up to 5kg, so no size surcharge applies. We collect cats from homes and veterinary clinics in Panania and surrounding suburbs, using the same process as for dogs.

Are there any additional fees?

Your chosen package covers everything, including collection and ash return. There are only 3 additional charges, and we explain them before you confirm your booking:

After-hours fee (Monday to Friday, before 9am or after 5pm): +$165
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays: +$250
Pets over 50kg: a 20% surcharge on the package price

If you book an after-hours collection, we may not be able to come until the next day, depending on which drivers are available in the Panania area. Either way, our team will contact you to confirm a pickup time, so you won’t be left waiting without knowing when we’ll arrive.

What should I do if my pet dies at home?

Take a little time first, as there is no need to hurry. When you are ready, place your dog or cat on their side on a towel or blanket, gently close their eyes and position their legs naturally in a curled pose. Do this within the first couple of hours, before stiffness begins. Put an old towel underneath because some fluid release is normal, and keep them cool and out of direct sunlight.

Then book online or call us on 0489 271 267. In Panania we collect from your home within 24 hours, and same day if you book before 2pm on a business day. If other pets in the house want to sniff or sit with them before pickup, that’s fine and can help them understand.

How quickly can you collect my pet in Panania?

We guarantee collection anywhere in Panania and the surrounding suburbs within 24 hours after your booking is confirmed. Book before 2pm on a business day and we can usually collect during business hours that same day at no extra cost. Bookings after 2pm are arranged for the next available collection.

A 30-minute notification is sent before the driver arrives. Your pet travels in a van prepared with flowers, greenery and a soft bed. After-hours or weekend pickups incur the fees listed above, and we will call to confirm the time.

Can you pick up my dog or cat from a vet in Panania?

Yes. Many Panania families say goodbye at the vet, and we collect from any veterinary clinic in Panania and surrounding suburbs, including Revesby, Padstow, Riverwood, Bankstown, Yagoona, Moorebank, and Punchbowl.

Provide the clinic name when booking and we will organise collection directly with the vet, meaning you do not need to transport your pet. Every package includes vet collection at no extra cost, and your pet receives a tracking tag as soon as they enter our care.

Do you offer cremation for all pets in Panania?

We cremate domestic pets collected from Panania homes and vets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, ferrets, reptiles and other small animals. Pets are accepted up to 100kg. Horses and other livestock cannot be cremated.

Every pet gets the same private cremation, the same tracking and the same Certificate of Cremation, whatever their size. The price is the same for a dog, cat, rabbit or bird, with a 20% surcharge only for pets over 50kg. If you’re unsure whether we can help with your pet, call us on 0489 271 267 and we’ll talk it through.

Can you cremate a rabbit, guinea pig or bird from Panania?

Yes. Small animal cremation is available across Panania. Rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, rats, mice and lizards each receive an individual cremation in a single chamber, so only your pet’s ashes are returned.

Small pets produce less ash, so many families select a small urn from The Gesture or The Memory collection, or choose a keepsake for the home. Collection from home or vet is the same as for dogs and cats, with prices starting at $540.

Is there a size limit for large dog cremation in Panania?

Pets are accepted up to 100kg, covering nearly every dog breed. Large dogs up to 50kg receive the standard package price. For weights from 50kg to 100kg, a 20% surcharge is added to the package price for the additional handling and cremation time.

Our drivers move large dogs gently from homes or clinics in Panania. Tell us your dog’s approximate weight when booking so we can prepare for collection and explain any surcharge upfront.

How soon will I get my pet’s ashes back?

Ashes are returned within 10 business days, well ahead of the 3-week industry average. Our team hand-delivers them to your Panania home in your chosen urn or scatter tube, with any keepsakes, the tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation.

We’ll contact you beforehand with the delivery date, so you know when to expect them. If that day doesn’t suit, call us on 0489 271 267 and we’ll work something out.

Which urn size do I need for my dog or cat?

The suitable urn depends on your pet’s weight. Sizes are available for pets up to 5kg, 5 to 20kg, 20 to 35kg, 35 to 50kg and over 50kg. Most cats, rabbits and small dogs use the smallest size, a Labrador generally falls within 20 to 35kg, and larger breeds use the next sizes.

There is no need to decide this alone. Share your pet’s approximate weight when booking and we will match an urn from your selected collection.

Can I scatter my pet’s ashes?

Yes. We normally seal the urn, but you can request an unsealed urn or ashes in a scatter tube if you plan to scatter them. The Private Farewell package provides a scatter tube instead of an urn.

Some Panania families remember their pet during gentle walks near the local park and community facilities, then choose a garden or another favourite place for scattering. Scattering on your own property is generally fine, while public land requires checking with the local council or landholder first.

Are your cremation services private?

Always. Every pet collected in Panania receives a guaranteed individual private cremation. Your pet is cremated alone in a single chamber, and the ashes returned are theirs only, never mixed or shared with another animal.

We do not provide communal or group cremation. Every package, beginning with the $540 Private Farewell, is fully private and includes a Certificate of Cremation confirming this.

How do I know it’s my pet’s ashes?

Your pet is tracked from the time they enter our care. A unique tracking tag is attached at collection, and staff check it repeatedly throughout the journey, from the vehicle to the crematorium and back to your door.

The ashes are returned with your pet’s tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation. As every cremation is individual, the ashes belong only to your pet.

Who is Buddy?

Buddy carries out your pet’s cremation. After booking, you receive notifications from them with updates as your pet progresses through each stage.

You can still contact our team at any time throughout the process, before or after pickup, on 0489 271 267. We stay your point of contact from booking right through to the return of your pet’s ashes.

Does pet insurance cover cremation?

Some pet insurance policies provide a cremation or end-of-life benefit, while others do not. Cover depends on your insurer and policy level, so review your product disclosure statement or speak with your insurer before booking if you intend to claim.

When your policy includes cremation cover, we can provide your payment receipt and Certificate of Cremation to help support the claim.

Which suburbs around Panania do you cover?

We provide pet collection services in Panania and surrounding suburbs, including Revesby, Padstow, Riverwood, Bankstown, Yagoona, Moorebank, and Punchbowl.

Every package includes pickup from your home or vet throughout Panania and the surrounding suburbs. If you are just beyond these areas, call 0489 271 267 and we will let you know straight away.
