The Gesture costs $790 and includes an urn plus a fur keepsake, The Memory is $890 with an urn, framed paw print and daily keepsake, and The Legacy is $1,190 with an urn, 2 keepsakes and a premium keepsake.

Every package includes collection from your Frenchs Forest home or vet, a private individual cremation, a Certificate of Cremation and hand delivery of the ashes within 10 business days. How much does it cost to cremate a dog in Frenchs Forest?

Dog cremation in Frenchs Forest is priced the same as cremation for any other pet, starting at $540 for a private cremation with ashes returned in a scatter tube, or $790 to $1,190 with an urn and keepsakes. Small, medium and large dogs cost the same up to 50kg.

For dogs over 50kg, including Great Danes, Mastiffs and some Rottweilers, the package price has a 20% surcharge. We accept dogs up to 100kg. Collection from your Frenchs Forest home or vet is included, and your dog is cremated alone, never with another animal.

How much is cat cremation in Frenchs Forest?

Cat cremation in Frenchs Forest starts from $540. This includes collection from your home or vet, an individual private cremation, a Certificate of Cremation and return of your cat’s ashes within 10 business days. Families selecting an urn for a cat often choose The Gesture ($790) or The Memory ($890), which include a fur keepsake or framed paw print.

Cats nearly always fit the smallest urn size, up to 5kg, so no size surcharge applies. We collect cats from homes and veterinary clinics across Frenchs Forest and the surrounding suburbs, using the same process as for dogs.

Are there any additional fees?

Your selected package price includes everything, including collection and return of the ashes. There are only 3 extra charges, and we explain them before you confirm your booking:

After-hours fee (Monday to Friday, before 9am or after 5pm): +$165
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays: +$250
Pets over 50kg: a 20% surcharge on the package price

If you book an after-hours collection, we may not be able to come until the next day, depending on which drivers are available in the Frenchs Forest area. Either way, our team will contact you to confirm a pickup time, so you won’t be left waiting without knowing when we’ll arrive.

What should I do if my pet dies at home?

Take a little time first, as there is no need to hurry. When you feel ready, place your dog or cat on their side on a towel or blanket, gently close their eyes and position their legs naturally in a curled shape. Do this within the first couple of hours, before stiffness develops. Put an old towel underneath because some fluid release is normal, and keep them cool and away from direct sunlight.

Then book online or call us on 0489 271 267. In Frenchs Forest we collect from your home within 24 hours, and same day if you book before 2pm on a business day. If other pets in the house want to sniff or sit with them before pickup, that’s fine and can help them understand.

How quickly can you collect my pet in Frenchs Forest?

We guarantee collection anywhere in Frenchs Forest and the surrounding suburbs within 24 hours after your booking is confirmed. Book before 2pm on a business day and we can usually collect that day during business hours at no added cost. Bookings after 2pm are arranged for the next available collection.

A notification arrives 30 minutes before the driver reaches you. Your pet travels in a van prepared with flowers, greenery and a soft bed. After-hours or weekend collection attracts the fees listed above, and we will call to confirm the time.

Can you pick up my dog or cat from a vet in Frenchs Forest?

Yes. Many Frenchs Forest families say goodbye at the vet, and we collect from any veterinary clinic in Frenchs Forest and surrounding suburbs, including Belrose, Brookvale, Lindfield, Dee Why, Chatswood, Gordon, and Freshwater.

Provide the clinic name during booking and we will organise collection directly with the vet, so you do not need to transport your pet. Vet collection is included in every package at no extra cost, and your pet receives a tracking tag as soon as they enter our care.

Do you offer cremation for all pets in Frenchs Forest?

We cremate domestic pets collected from Frenchs Forest homes and vets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, ferrets, reptiles and other small animals. Pets are accepted up to 100kg. Horses and other livestock cannot be cremated.

Every pet gets the same private cremation, the same tracking and the same Certificate of Cremation, whatever their size. The price is the same for a dog, cat, rabbit or bird, with a 20% surcharge only for pets over 50kg. If you’re unsure whether we can help with your pet, call us on 0489 271 267 and we’ll talk it through.

Can you cremate a rabbit, guinea pig or bird from Frenchs Forest?

We provide small animal cremation throughout Frenchs Forest. Rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, rats, mice and lizards are each cremated alone in one chamber, so only your pet’s ashes are returned.

Small pets produce less ash, so many families choose a small urn from The Gesture or The Memory collection, or a keepsake for the home. Collection from your home or vet is arranged just as it is for a dog or cat, and prices start from the same $540.

Is there a size limit for large dog cremation in Frenchs Forest?

Pets up to 100kg are accepted, covering almost every dog breed. Large breeds up to 50kg are charged the standard package price, while pets from 50kg to 100kg incur a 20% surcharge on the package price for additional handling and cremation time.

Our drivers move large dogs carefully from homes and clinics in Frenchs Forest. Tell us your dog’s approximate weight when booking so we can prepare for collection and explain any surcharge in advance.

How soon will I get my pet’s ashes back?

Your pet’s ashes are returned within 10 business days, well ahead of the 3-week industry average. We hand-deliver them to your Frenchs Forest home in the selected urn or scatter tube, with any keepsakes, the tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation.

We’ll contact you beforehand with the delivery date, so you know when to expect them. If that day doesn’t suit, call us on 0489 271 267 and we’ll work something out.

Which urn size do I need for my dog or cat?

The right urn depends on your pet’s weight. Our sizes are for pets up to 5kg, 5 to 20kg, 20 to 35kg, 35 to 50kg and over 50kg. Most cats, rabbits and small dogs use the smallest size, Labradors generally fit the 20 to 35kg range, and larger breeds require the sizes above that.

You do not have to decide alone. Share your pet’s approximate weight when booking and we will match an appropriate urn from your chosen collection.

Can I scatter my pet’s ashes?

Your pet’s urn is sealed by default, but you can request an unsealed urn or a scatter tube if you plan to scatter the ashes. The Private Farewell package includes a scatter tube rather than an urn.

Some families remember their pet during a walk through the bushland around Frenchs Forest, then choose a garden or another favourite place for scattering. Scattering on your own property is generally fine, but check with the local council or landholder before using parks, beaches or other public land.

Are your cremation services private?

Always. We guarantee an individual private cremation for every pet collected in Frenchs Forest. Your pet is cremated alone in a single chamber, and only their ashes are returned, never ashes mixed or shared with other animals.

Communal and group cremation are not offered. Every package, starting with the $540 Private Farewell, is fully private and includes a Certificate of Cremation confirming this.

How do I know it’s my pet’s ashes?

Your pet is tracked from the moment they enter our care. A unique tracking tag is attached at collection, and our team checks it repeatedly at every stage, from the vehicle to the crematorium and back to your home.

The returned ashes come with your pet’s tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation. Because each cremation is individual, the ashes belong solely to your pet.

Who is Buddy?

Buddy carries out your pet’s cremation. After booking, you receive notifications from them as your pet progresses through each stage.

You can still contact our team at any time throughout the process, before or after pickup, on 0489 271 267. We stay your point of contact from booking right through to the return of your pet’s ashes.

Does pet insurance cover cremation?

Some pet insurance policies provide a cremation or end-of-life benefit, while others do not. Coverage depends on your insurer and policy level, so check the product disclosure statement or speak with your insurer before booking if you intend to claim.

When your policy includes cremation, we can provide the payment receipt and Certificate of Cremation to help support your claim.

Every package includes collection from your home or vet across Frenchs Forest and the surrounding suburbs. We also cover the nearby communities around the area, and you can call 0489 271 267 if you are just outside these locations so we can let you know straight away.
