Can I scatter my pet’s ashes?

Yes. We normally seal your pet’s urn, but you can request an unsealed urn or have the ashes returned in a scatter tube if you plan to scatter them. The Private Farewell package includes a scatter tube rather than an urn.

Some Ashfield families remember their pet with a favourite walk near Ashfield Park, then choose to scatter the ashes in a garden or another favourite place. Scattering on your own property is generally fine. Before using a park or other public land, check with the local council or landholder.
