Pets over 50kg: a 20% surcharge on the package price

What should I do if my pet dies at home?

Take a moment first and do not feel you need to hurry. When ready, place your dog or cat on a towel or blanket on their side, gently close their eyes and position their legs naturally in a curled pose. Do this within the first couple of hours, before stiffness begins. Put an old towel underneath because some fluid release is normal, and keep them cool and out of direct sunlight.

Can I scatter my pet’s ashes?

By default, your pet’s urn is sealed, but you can request an unsealed urn or have the ashes returned in a scatter tube if you plan to scatter them. The Private Farewell package includes a scatter tube instead of an urn.

Many families remember their pet during quiet walks at Robert Pymble Park, while choosing to scatter ashes in a garden or another favourite place. Scattering on your own property is generally fine. Before using parks, beaches or other public land, check with the local council or landholder.
