Your selected package includes everything, including collection and the return of the ashes. There are only 3 additional charges, and we will explain them before you confirm your booking:

After-hours fee (Monday to Friday, before 9am or after 5pm): +$165
Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and public holidays: +$250
Pets over 50kg: a 20% surcharge on the package price

What should I do if my pet dies at home?

Pause for a moment first, as there is no need to hurry. When ready, place your dog or cat on their side on a towel or blanket, gently close their eyes and position their legs naturally in a curled posture. Complete this within the first couple of hours, before stiffness develops. Put an old towel underneath because some fluid release is normal, and keep them cool and out of direct sunlight.

The right urn depends on your pet’s weight. Sizes are available for pets up to 5kg, 5 to 20kg, 20 to 35kg, 35 to 50kg and over 50kg. Most cats, rabbits and small dogs suit the smallest size, while a Labrador generally falls into the 20 to 35kg range and larger breeds require the sizes above it.

There is no need to decide this alone. Give us your pet’s approximate weight when booking and we will match an urn from your selected collection.

Can I scatter my pet’s ashes?

Yes. Your urn is sealed by default, but we can provide an unsealed urn or return the ashes in a scatter tube if you plan to scatter them. The Private Farewell package includes a scatter tube instead of an urn.

Some families remember their pet during walks at Mascot Memorial Park or Lionel Bowen Park, then choose a garden or another favourite place for the ashes. Scattering on your own property is generally fine, while public land requires permission from the local council or landholder first.

Are your cremation services private?

Always. We guarantee an individual private cremation for every pet collected in Mascot. Your pet is cremated alone in a single chamber, and only their ashes are returned, never ashes mixed or shared with other animals.

Communal and group cremation are not offered. Every package, from the $540 Private Farewell onwards, is fully private and includes a Certificate of Cremation confirming this.

The tracking ID and Certificate of Cremation accompany your pet’s ashes when returned. Since each cremation is individual, the ashes belong only to your pet.

Who is Buddy?

Buddy are the service providers who carry out your pet’s cremation. After booking, you will receive their notifications with updates as your pet moves through each stage.

Does pet insurance cover cremation?
